Turkey Trot Parade...Happy November

These are my 2 little friends...Turkey Day is coming and they want you to "Eat Ham"!

October was a long month I had lots of things to do. We went away on Columbus Day weekend.
Then I had the "Thelma & Louise" trip with Doris I went on. We drove a total of 3547 miles in 8 days. I drove from RI to Hershey PA, then we drove to Missouri stopping in Ohio and Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky & West Virginia. Just to bring a piece of furniture to my cousin Sister Mary Terese who is at the Palatine Missionary Sisters Convent in Florresent MO. It was nice to see her, but a LONG ride.
Then I finished up the month with doing my annual shopping in PA for the most wonderful vegetables. Then home to finish up with Halloween!

Moving on to November..
I am doing a trunk show on November 14th for the RI Little Drummers rug hooking group.

I will be open for rug hooking on November 21st from 10-5 please email me if you think you would like to come and hook.

Happy Fall!!!

Fall is Here

Thought I needed to put some fall in blog.

Wonderful weekend plans

Now that I have everything placed and cleaned in the studio I can see what I need. I am going to plan on spending the day planing new rugs and working on some new items. It gets a little crazy dying wool all day long. There are some rugs I have running around in my head.

The fall is here and it is going to be a wonderful weekend.

Rug Hooking Studio**Almost finished!!!

Well here are some pictures of my wool studio.
I still have a lot of work to do but this is a start. As most of you know I will be having Open House on this Saturday September 19th 10:00am -5:00pm. I don't think there will be a huge rush of people. I know that will build as time rolls around.

It was nice to move most of the extra wool outside. I still have a lot of wool to move but most of it is out there.

There are things that I want to have and carry but that will come in time.

Hope to see you there....

Lot's of Wool at Heavens to Betsy....

This is some of the wool I got from Heavens to Betsy.

September 7th Labor day!

Yesterday I went to visit Betsy at Heavens to Betsy in New York. It was a beautiful day. I left early in the morning with my 2 grand daughters Amanda & Emily.

As usual I want to buy everything I see. She has a nice assortment of wool. She was also getting ready to go to a hook-in in Indiana.

I did manage to get some nice wool and ordered more that is not in. So it is off to the dye pots today.

Labor Day Weekend

September 5th

Well it is going to be a GLORIOUS Weekend. The Summer is at the end now. Who is ready for the fall?

I have been working on getting my new wool studio ready. I need to get some of this wool out of the house. I am kind of excited for this new venture.

Today I will finish painting the floor and hopefully the walls. Eddie is getting the wool for the shelves which I will be painting black. He is leaving for California at the end of the week so he needs to get busy.

I will post pictures later when I get one section done.

New Wool Heaven!

Well the large shipment of wool has come. It was like Christmas morning opening up the boxes. When you order from a small square of wool it is never as nice as the bolt of wool coming.

I am washing the wool today and then I am going to hook something with it. The picture is just a small amount of the wool.

Let's try this again!!!

Okay so lets just say I have been bad at this blogging thing.

This past year has been a long one for me. I have had people who were close to us pass on. Eddie underwent open heart and hand surgery. We put an in ground pool in by OURSELVES!!! I have had growing pains with my business. That's just a few things.

So starting today I am going to give this a try again.

August 25th....I will be in WOOL LAND today and for the rest of the week. I have a lot of wool coming from Rebecca Erb & Heavens to Betsy. It all has to be ripped and washed and dried. Can you say WET SHEEP!!! Then I will be dying lots of new fall colors.

I am also working on my new wool studio which I will open up on the 3rd Saturday of every month to anyone who wants to come and hook. I have a look I want and it is coming out pretty good. I just need to have Eddie help me with some of the shelving units.

So that is it for today. I will post pictures tomorrow of my wool.
